Early-morning departures and late-night arrivals won’t announce themselves through the house.
Battery Backup — Your door keeps working when the power goes out. Portland’s winter storms take out electricity a few times every year, and if your garage is your primary entrance, being locked out of your own home isn’t just inconvenient — it’s a problem. The 6580L runs on backup power for up to 24 hours of standby or approximately 20 open/close cycles, which gets you through most outages without thinking about it.

The 6580L’s integrated camera can be tilted and rotated through the myQ app, letting you adjust the angle to cover the area that matters most — your entry door, your workbench, your storage area, or the full garage bay. You’re not stuck with whatever angle it was mounted at.
LED Lighting — Bright LED lighting activates when the door operates and illuminates the entire garage. A noticeable improvement over the Basic Series’ work light. If you’ve ever fumbled for the light switch in a dark garage after the door opens, the 6580L solves that.
myQ Smartphone Control — Open, close, and monitor your garage door from anywhere through the myQ app. Real-time alerts, scheduling, remote access — same myQ experience across the entire LiftMaster lineup. Built in with no separate hub or adapter required.
