Ultra-Quiet Belt-Drive — The 6690L is the quietest ceiling-mount in LiftMaster’s lineup. Like the Plus, it’s a belt-drive, but with additional noise dampening that takes it a step further. If your master bedroom sits directly above the garage, the 6690L is the one that won’t wake anyone at 6 AM. It’s also the right motor for homes where the garage wall is shared with a nursery, home office, or living room.
Lifetime Motor Warranty — The only tier that offers it. The motor is the most expensive component in any opener, and a lifetime warranty means you’ll never pay to replace it. Basic gives you 5 years, Plus gives you 6 years — Premium covers you for life.
Battery Backup — Your door keeps working during power outages. Up to 24 hours of standby or approximately 20 open/close cycles on backup power. Same battery backup system as the Plus and 2420L.
Adjustable Camera — Integrated camera you can tilt and rotate through the myQ app. Position it to cover your entry door, workbench, storage area, or the full garage bay. Same adjustable camera as the Plus — you’re not stuck with whatever angle it was mounted at.
Superior LED Lighting — The brightest lighting in the lineup. Lights up the entire garage when the door operates. A noticeable step up from the Plus’s LED and a significant upgrade over the Basic’s work light. If your garage doubles as a workshop or gym, this matters.
Extra Remote and Keypad Included — The Premium Series comes with an additional remote and a wireless keypad, in addition to the standard remotes and wall control. The keypad mounts outside your garage so you can enter with a code — no remote needed. Handy for kids, dog walkers, or anytime you don’t have a remote on you. The Basic and Plus tiers include remotes and a wall control, but not both.
