A 2-layer door adds insulation backing, which helps, but it’s still open on the back side. A 3-layer door has steel on both the front and back, sandwiching the insulation. Order and timeline. If the door is in stock at the local warehouse or in our shop, we can typically install it within a few business days, depending on our schedule. If it needs to be ordered from the manufacturer, expect delivery in 4–6 weeks. We require a 50% deposit when you place an order.
Installation day. Most installations take about 4 hours. We remove your old door, install the new one, set the springs and tracks, and test everything. We haul away the old door so you don’t have to deal with it.
